Clinical Study of SCH411 in the Treatment of Several Dermatoses

Abstract
|
|
|
SCH411 cream(Triderm®) is a new combination of Clotrimazole, Betamethasone dipropionate, and Gentanimicin sulfate.
This study was undertaken to evaluate the therapeutic effect of SCH411 on 50 cases of common dermatoses including 8 cases of contact dermatitis, 9 cases of atopic dermatitis, 5 cases of neurodermatitis, 10 cases of seborrheic dermatitis, 8 cases of impetigo and 10 cases of dermatophytosis.
The results are as follows:
1) Among 50 patients, it revealed complete cure or excellent effect in 10 patients (20% good effect in 32 patients (64%), and poor effect in 8 patients(16%).
2) Effective therapeutic response (cure, excellent and good) was noted in 75% of patients ,of contact dermatitis, 88.9% of atopic dermatitis, 80% of neurodermatitis, 70% of seborrheeic dermatitis, 87% of impetigo and 100% of dermatophytosis.
3) Atopic dermatitis, impetigo, and dermatophytosis had higher cure rate than other dermatoses.
4) During the period of this study, there were no appreciable side effects among all patients enlisted.
